Australia is a romance/outback adventure movie staring Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman and is set in around the 30’s or 40’s type era when the war brakes out.
Nicole Kidman is a well-to-do English woman who ends up droving a flock of cattle across the Australian outback (in order to sell them) with an Australian man called The Drover (Hugh Jackman) who she falls in love with, and an orphaned aboriginal child helps them on the adventure.
It is an epic romance story, and at about 2 ½ hours long it is kind of literally an epic as well.
It is one of my all time favorite movies/romance movie, if not my favorite

I only saw this one once, and it was years and years ago. All I can say is that I thought this movie was way too long. I remember thinking it was the end and then it kept going. The thing is that I can watch and enjoy 3 hour films (and even longer mini-series) quite happily, so the fact this one just stands out to me as being really long means I didn't find it all that captivating.
So yeah, not something I'd watch again. I know lots of people do like it though.
