Peaches1/2 c. light brown sugar2 1/4 c. flour1 1/2 tsp. baking soda1/4 tsp. salt1/2 tsp. cinnamon1/2 tsp. ground ginger1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg1 c. granulated sugar1 egg1 tsp. vanilla extract1 1/2 c. sour creamHeat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and halve peaches. Cook brown sugar in 5tablespoons butter in 10 inch ovenproof frying pan until dissolved. Off theheat,arrange peach halves, cut sides up, in pan. Combine flour, baking soda, saltand spices. Beat 8 tablespoons butter with granulated sugar. Beat in egg andvanilla. Stir in flour mixture by thirds, alternating with sour cream.Spread over peaches and bake until toothpick inserted in center comes outclean,50-55 minutes.
