I love this movie. I first heard of Hellen Keller and Anne Sullivan when I read a story about them in the "Chicken Soup" books as a teenager, and I've been interested in their story ever since. I saw the movie not long ago, and it was very touching and heartwarming.
Ann Bancroft and Patty Duke's acting was excellent, and from what I know about the true story I think it did it justice. I'm looking farward to reading Hellen Keller's book someday and to see the play. I heard it will play in Israel soon.

I know we've spoken about this movie before and it seems very interesting and thought provoking. The story of Helen Keller is very inspiring, and I'm glad it was made into a film.
Helen Keller is known for her insightful quotes, and the following is definitely one of my favorites:
Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it. My optimism, then, does not rest on the absence of evil, but on a glad belief in the preponderance of good and a willing effort always to cooperate with the good, that it may prevail.
I will definitely try to watch this movie in the near future.
