Robin of Sherwood is definitely my all time favorite retelling of the adventures of Robin Hood and his merry men. I remember seeing the series as a kid in the 80s, and then appreciating it so much more, when I saw it again in the 90s. Now I have the VHS, and they show some series signs of wear and tear since I've watched them so much, LOL.
Here are the intros for all three seasons:
While I liked Michael Praed as Robin, Jason Connery is my favorite for the role. I like how this series made use of both legends about the true identity of the hooded man... i.e., the peasant Robin of Loxley (Michael Praed), and the nobleman Robert of Huntingdon (Jason Connery).
The series was shrouded in Pagan mysticism, and this is the only Robin Hood series thus far, that has done this, which has always been an added bonus in my book. I loved the concept of Herne the Hunter and Robin Hood being his chosen *son* to whom he provides guidance on numerous occasions.
The score by Clannad is fabulous too, and I think I've worn out my CD since I've listened to it so much.
Anyhow, who here has seen the series? Please discuss in this thread!

Shaliza: Sadly I think we're going to be stuck with Trump for another term. I'm already mentally preparing myself for another four years of endless tweeting, lying and unprofessional behavior from the POTUS.

skyfire: Weather is getting better out here, our solar has been at full output for all day pretty much, dropping back now due to the sun starting to go down.

Shaliza: That's awesome that you have solar power. Next time I move, I hope it's to a small house/condo which has the majority of its electricity from solar power. ::080701b0-80dc-4277-b2fa-85537dc91ccc::
