I can play the piano, but I haven't touched it in years and I was always a bit lazy with my sight reading and tended to just start making up my own music instead of playing what I was supposed to, haha.
I actually prefer singing. I used to do a lot of performances back in NZ. I might have considered it as a career if the music industry wasn't so awful and often demeaning for a female artist. I'd rather not deal with all of that. I do miss performing, though. I sang for some Christmas functions last year, and that was fun, but all I can really do these days is just go hard at karaoke. I don't want to lose my vocal range by getting out of practice.

I play autoharp, mandolin, and guitar. Not sure if it counts but I also have a recorder, jaw harp, harmonica, and maracas. Have my mamaw's electric organ that I want to learn someday. Would like to add more to the list. I love any instrument I've ever heard except maybe the kazoo lol. And love to sing.
All that probably makes it sound like I'm musically gifted. I'm not. I wouldn't inflict my playing or my voice (unless in a group or classroom) on anyone but my poor family. Really admire those blessed with musical ability, but it's not how the Lord chose to bless me. But I enjoy doing it nonetheless.
That's great you enjoy playing so many instruments, writerwriting . I never had the patience to stick with that kind of thing.
Thanks. It's not the hobby I spend the most time on, but it's supposed to have a lot of benefits like increasing your mathematical ability (which I need all the help with I can get lol) and slowing dementia, which runs in my family enough to make it a concern. My primary reason though is it's fun.
