I really loved the way the Brethren Court was called upon in AWE. From the initial, poignant song Hoist the Colors, to the final, spectacular battle where all the Pirate Lords join forces to defeat Beckett and Davy Jones, this was a great addition to the final chapter in the trilogy.
I thought the different nationalities of each of the Pirate Lords was a nice touch. The Nine Pieces of Eight was also a very clever depiction of the number 9, since 9 x 8 is 72 and 7 + 2 = 9. I love learning about all this trivia since I never figured these things out when I was watching the actual movie, LOL.
The whole exchange on Shipwreck Island was hilarious! I loved all the petty quarreling and fighting, and Elizabeth being given the title of Pirate King. She's the first female Pirate King, and this is just awesome!
These lines are two of my favorites from this scene:
Barbossa: "There's not been a gatherin' like this in our lifetime."
Jack Sparrow: "And I owe them all money."
Anyhow, I enjoyed the portrayal of the Brethren Court very much, and I figured a discussion thread would be nice. So get posting, and have fun!
