I was under the impression that usernames are synonymous with profile names, but apparently not, LOL.
Your username is what you login with. Your profile name, OTOH, is what shows up in your mini profile with each post. Profile names are also what show up at the bottom of the forum in the "Who's Online" area. While you cannot change your username, profile names can be changed and allow both upper and lower case letters in them. Logins/usernames only allow lower case letters. So for example, my login/username is Admin, but my profile name is set as Shaliza.
If anyone therefore wants to have upper and lower case letters in their profile name, or make it different from their login, it's a quick fix. Just go under profile > edit profile > personal > display name. Click on the display name to change it.
All members also have the opportunity to change their status as often as they want. Just go to: profile > edit profile > personal > current status.
In addition, Admins and Mods can also use a custom user title which is visible under the 9-star rank. Just go to: profile > edit profile > staff options > custom user title
Hope this is helpful. Feel free to reply to this thread if you have any questions.
