Many years ago, I was trucking in France and stayed for a weekend at a truck stop near Toulouse. As luck would have it, there was a television show detailing the making of the stage play "Notre Dame de Paris". Soon as the show was over, I bought the CD from the gas station and have been listening to it ever since.
My preference is to listen to it in the original French. The Israeli singer, Noa, originally took the part of Esmeralda for the CD, and was offered the part for the stage production but was unable to commit the time, so Hélène Segara was offered the part in her stead. The work has been translated into English and Italian and has toured extensively.
Belle, sung by the Canadian singers Garou (Quasimodo) and Daniel Lavoie (Frollo) and the Frenchman Patrick Fiori (Phœbus)

Shaliza: That's awesome that you have solar power. Next time I move, I hope it's to a small house/condo which has the majority of its electricity from solar power. ::080701b0-80dc-4277-b2fa-85537dc91ccc::

magicmuggle01: I'm not even sure whether or not the power I use comes from renewables, Nuclear or fossil.

magicmuggle01: Must be great to have a near endless supply of power, and didn't cost a penny in bills (except what was paid to buy equipment).
