For those who haven't seen this, I say you're totally missing out, peeps. I saw the trailer and knew I had to watch it, so I went with one of my best friends. Even though it was super long, every second was totally worth it. True to British humor and drama, there wasn't a single dull moment in the entire film. It was a rich blend of east meets west, sprinkled with the hilarious antics of a colorful cast of characters, and a vivid, wonderfully told, heartwarming story.
With a star-studded cast including Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Judi Dench and Ronald Pickup, you know you have a brilliant story, and this movie does certainly does not disappoint. I also loved the Indian stars including Dev Patel that added even more depth and humor to an already fantastic story, along their British counterparts.
The motto of this movie can be summed up by the words of the Indian character Sonny Kapoor: "Everything will be alright in the end. So... if it's not alright, then it's not the end." Just beautiful and very uplifting, IMHO.
I don't have the words to coherently describe this fantabulous movie, so I'll let you see the trailer instead.
Major kudos to the cast and crew for bringing this amazing story and one of my all time favorite movies to life!
