I loved this show and it was (honestly) the first time I thought Lois and Clark worked... I much preferred Lana Lang in the movies and in the really old series which is great, Lois spent more time with Jimmy.

^ Yay for another fan of L&C! I think my favorite presentation of Lois and Clark is on this show, although Man of Steel is a close second. How they develop this relationship in the second movie though, remains to be seen, but I digress. I was never able to warm up to Lana, but I think it's safe to say that she is Clark's first love, while Lois is his true love and soul mate. I never watched Smallville, so I can't comment on the Lana/Clark relationship on that show, but from what others have told me, the Lois/Clark storyline was hot, and very well done. I will have to check it out sometime. I think what really stood out for me in Lois and Clark, is that for the first time ever, Lois figures out his secret identity, and he's ok with that. No more memory wiping kisses and all that nonsense which really spoiled the movies for me, IMHO.
So it was nice to see the relationship continue to develop after Lois finds out, and how they become true partners with equal footing from that moment on. I mean, I don't see how you can love a person, but not be truthful with them, so I really liked what the show did with this revelation.
I could go one forever about why I love L&C, but I'll save that for another post, and let someone else take a whack at it.

I was feeling decidedly nostalgic about L&C tonight and started watching some music videos. Here's one of my favorites for this lovely pair. I think I might do some L&C binge watching after I run some errands this weekend!

I need to find my DVDs!
Actually I'm still kind of fangirling after I met Dean Cain this July at the London Film & Comic Con, he's not only still that good looking, he's a self proclaimed geek. He mentioned liking Star Wars and The Princess Bride and was just generally really nice and friendly with his fans.

^ That's awesome that you got to meet Dean Cain, LouiseX. I would be totally fangirling too, LOL. Would love to see a remake of this series, and maybe Dean and Teri can play Jonathan/Martha or even Jor-El/Lara. I believe Dean Cain plays Kara's dad in the Supergirl TV series too, but I've never gotten around to seeing it. Would love a L&C remake that features Kara and Lucy Lane as well. I miss the show so much! In the meantime, here's another cute L&C video set to I Won't Say I'm In Love from Disney's Hercules.

I watched it but didn't care for Dean Cain as Superman. He was a good Clark. If that makes any sense. He and Teri Hatcher did have good chemistry. I couldn't stand Lana! Nasty ho! lol

I know what you mean, stluee. I really liked Clark in L&C and Superman was more of a secondary character. Which is what I think they were going for, since the show was primarily about the relationship between Lois and Clark. Here's another of my favorite L/C videos, set to The Way by Clay Aiken.

Time to revive this thread, so here's another L/C video, this time set to My Baby You by Marc Anthony. It's one of the most passionate love songs I have ever heard.

My favorite version is Smallville! Tom Welling and Erica Duranst. The best ever chemistry. I liked the series finale. I miss the show. CW was stupid for not getting Tom for the superman appearances. he said he would do it.

I adore "Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman". I've been watching it since I was a kid, and it's what made me fall in love with Lois Lane and Superman. I love the humor from their banter to the fact that his parents are so wonderfully kooky to Perry's obsession with Elvis (even if I don't understand why they had to change his signature expression from Great Caesar's Ghost because he was Southern lol). And the focus on the romance. I even love campy storylines. Lois Lane became my favorite superhero character even though she has no superhero abilities. The fact that she charges in there and fights with the written and spoken word and holds her own when she could be easily overwhelmed by all the extraordinary people she's around is wonderful. That's not to say I don't like other versions of the characters. I think all the different incarnations have had something to recommend them, and I'm such a fan geek, I've literally watched them all down to the Jerry Seinfield/Superman commercials. I think Noel Neil is an unsung Lois because she was the first to bring the character to the screen ever in those Superman theater serials and made sure she did the character justice by going out and reading the comics. I think Christopher Reeve did the best job of switching between Clark and Superman and showing how people might think he was two different people. I have a fondness for Smallville because the characters were my age, Lois was most like the modern comic book Lois Lane that I've seen, their romantic banter was off the charts. Still, it was gritter, and I would have done some of the storylines differently (ahem Lana), but I write this version in fanfic the most because it lends itself so well to drama and unexplored threads. Yet, I love the charm of "L and C" the most. It probably shows because I've gotten comments like this this reminds me of a "Lois and Clark" episode lol. Anyway, I could wax poetic about the show all day long. If they did a revival of this to wrap up that last episode as a movie or even another series as an older Lois and Clark, which has hitherto been unexplored, I'd be one happy camper.

^ Great post, writerwriting! Nice to see another Lois & Clark fan here too. I too wouldn't mind seeing a reboot of this show at some point. It was just amazing and I miss it so much!
